Starting with her college track days, running became more than just a hobby—it became her sanctuary, reminding her that mental health is as important as physical health. Inspired by her own family's experiences with mental health challenges, Heather is driven to raise awareness and break down stigma.
Outside of her advocacy work, Heather treasures time with her husband and two children, whether they're at the lake, hitting the slopes, or cheering on her kids in sports. With her dedication to overall well-being and community support, Heather brings invaluable insight and enthusiasm to our board.
Katie joined the team with a deep passion for running and mental health. She embraced running after playing field hockey throughout college as a way to stay active and centered.
Running has become her cherished "therapy session" with friends and specifically with her sister, providing a valuable opportunity to unwind and strengthen relationships. Katie and her husband fell in love while training for a marathon together, and they now strive to instill a love of staying active in their two daughters.
Katie has seen how local races offer the chance to experience communities in a new light and celebrate their diversity, truly bringing people together united for a cause.
Katie is inspired by The Fund Racing Alliance’s dedication to giving back locally and beyond. Their commitment to supporting mental health awareness and resources is truly meaningful. Katie has joined the team to help those who feel isolated and hopeless, find a sense of belonging and support.
